Late-night blogging

I'm blogging to you live from St. Louis Lambert Airport, on my way home from a retreat for Catholic school leaders outside Boston (check out www.emmausseries.org). It's been a good week of professional-spiritual renewal, but I'm glad to be heading home.

I'm traveling in my collar for the first time (left straight from the closing Mass) and had a lovely chat in the boarding line at BOS with a nice gentleman from NH who's excited about his diocese restoring the traditional order of the Sacraments of Initiation! It also turns out he and I have the same habit of tracing a small sign of the Cross on the outside of the plane as we board.

An 80-minute layover plus a 40-minute delay gave me plenty of time to stop in the interfaith chapel just past E33 and pray a rosary for my fellow retreatants, their safe travels, and their intentions.

I know I'm behind in posting last Sunday's homily; I'll get on that ASAP! In the meantime, God bless you this night (or whenever you read this!)!
